The math book was very helpful for my son since it explained the concepts step by step. He’s always struggled with math but it really made it a breeze for him to get the concepts down. The essay was one of the parts of the application I was most worried about, as I did not know what to write. Her math books were very thorough, explaining every single step of a problem or topic in detail and adding example problems before your set of practice questions to make sure the topic really sticks in your head. I was able to go back to a specific section easily and re-teach myself the content if I needed…it wasn’t vague at all (especially considering I hadn’t been taught some of the topics in school before). On my first practice test, I remember getting a 26 overall, with my lowest score being 22 — and that with taking way more breaks than the actual ACT provides. But with Ms. Robinson’s help, I was able to score a 33 recently on my ACT. Her explanations are very clear and allowed me to develop a strategic way of thinking for such a strict-timed test. She made sure I understand every question thoroughly before moving onto the next practice item. She taught me dozens of tips and tricks that I couldn’t have found on my own and kept me on track with my study pace. I think the best thing of all though, was her focus on your mental health and calming down your nerves before your test — which I found highly beneficial for me.
